A Jeep whatsit. Probably everywhere in America but Jeep don’t travel well and they’re becoming a rarity here.

A Jeep in front of a KFC. American cultural imperialism in a nut shell.

Grand Cherokee. And I bet you thought it was huge too ;)

I saw one in Japan last summer. Quite the oddity there.

Not huge, it’s something like an X5 so far as I know. Unusual though.
They used to be quite common in the 90s and 00s but have rather fallen off a cliff from the sales point of view. The smaller Cherokee has vanished completely.

Well, the smaller Cherokee isn’t the same over there. After 2001 there were no more Cherokee over here, but export markets had what we called a Liberty badged as a Cherokee. So they didn’t exist for a time here either, except all the badasses rolling around in ever-aging XJ’s. And the Libby was never as big a hit as the XJ. Fun fact, the first Grand Cherokee was actually supposed to be the second generation XJ, but the XJ was still selling so well as a 9-year-old model when the ZJ came out that they didn’t stop building it, and it continued to sell well enough (after a facelift) that it survived a couple years alongside the second-generation Grand.
The hugeness thing was a joke. It just looks so much bigger than the other vehicles in the lot (including that van but it’s probably a perspective thing) but here they’re pretty close to average size.

I saw more KFCs in Prague than in most cities in the U.S., I don’t quite get it.

The inside of a fully loaded GC is very nice too.
